Now that the weather is changing and its getting colder, its a fabulous time for soup.
This is a quick and easy recipe you can make in about a half an hour.
Great with a toasted ham and cheese sandwich!
Tomato soup can be very beneficial to your health. The Vitamin A can help improve your vision. While the large amounts of the antioxidant lycopene helps provide lowering risks of cancer, and can help decrease the levels of cholesterol and triglyceride in the blood.
Tomatoes also contain about 40% of your daily Vitamin C, potassium, iron, Vitamin K, selenium and copper.
The only draw back is that they are high in sodium which is not good for high blood pressure.
CANNABIS TOMATO SOUP
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 Medium Onion
2 Cloves of Garlic
1 tsp Basil
Salt, pepper and Cannabis, to taste
1 (28oz) Can Petite Diced Tomatoes
1 (28 oz) Can Italian style diced tomatoes
2 Cups Chicken or vegetable broth
Heat oil in a large pot over medium-low heat. Add onions and cook for 10-15 minutes until soft.
Add garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Season with salt, pepper, basil and cannabis to taste.
Add cans of tomatoes and broth. (You can also use water)
Bring to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer for about 15 minutes.
If soup is to chunky, you can blend to make it smoother.
You can also substitute the olive oil with CannaOil, just keep
your temperature low, so it doesn’t burn.
The next day I added some smoked sausage and elbow noodles, topped with grated cheese.
It was really good too!
